Ao
Nang
This beautiful bay is exquisite because of its
limestone mountains. Its famous beaches include
Rai Ley, Tam Pra Nang (where the tam or cave, is
sacred to local villagers) and Nam Mao. None of
these can be reached by road. Boats leave
regularly from the accessible part of Ao Nang to
take visitors. Other islands worth visiting are
Kai Island, Tap Island, Mor Island, and Padah
Island, where there are clean sandy beaches,
clear water and schools of dazzling colourful
fishes in abundance. It is perfect for diving,
snorkelling, or swimming. Boats to the islands
can be boarded at Ao Nang.
